The Island is host to many events every year and some are only exclusively held on the Isle of Wight.  Skandia Cowes Week is a globally known event and brings thousands of visitors all interested in the sailing based town of Cowes, equally it is an event frequented by Islanders alike.  For the more adventurous of visitors is the White Air Extreme Sports festival has been growing in popularity every year.
